National Living and National Minimum Wage Increases

It has been announced that the government will be increasing both the national minimum wage and the national living wage from the 1st of April 2023. The new rates are as follows:
The National Living Wage, the rate for workers aged 23 and up, will change from £9.50 to £10.42 an hour, an increase of 9.7%.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for workers aged 21 and 22 will be rising from £9.18 to £10.18 an hour. This is an increase of 10.9%.
The NMW for workers aged 18 to 20 will be changing from £6.83 to £7.49 an hour, an increase of 9.7%.
The NMW for workers aged 16 and 17 will be increasing from £4.81 an hour to £5.28 per hour, an increase of 9.7%.
The NMW for apprentices aged under 19, or those aged 19 and over but in the first year of their apprenticeship, is rising from £4.81 to £5.28 per hour, also an increase of 9.7%
The daily offset for the provision of living accommodation to a worker will rise by 4.6% from £8.70 to £9.10 per day.
